1. Get early access to Pinterest’s new look.

2. Make sure you have a verified website. If you have a website listed on your profile with a check mark next to it, you’re verified. If not, follow these steps to verify.

3. Once your website is verified, go to the top right menu and click on Analytics.

4. Start exploring! Select time frames to analyze, see where pins are being posted, and more. Check out everything you can do in this video tour.

This should come to no surprise to those of you who follow Social Media and Marketing news, as “Facebook” has been the top searched term for the past three years. THREE YEARS! Can you believe it? If this is a sign of things to come, Social Media is here to stay.

Think it’s a fluke? The #2 top-searched term: “YouTube”. #3? “Facebook Login”.

Crazy stuff, huh?

It is no coincidence that these are the top searched-for terms in the online world. In a world where everything is available in the blink of an eye,  it’s no wonder that these outlets, where information is available even up to the second it happens, are flying high on success.

Now, what’s all the buzz about?

We are now developing packages and a pricing structure to offer high-impact Flash website design and management!

As some of you tech-savvy people may have already noticed, our website is run off of Adobe Flash as well. We believe it to be one of the most impactful ways to present your website, while at the same time making it user-friendly and visually stunning.

Now, a lot of you may be wondering…why would I want a Flash Website? I can’t open it on my smart phone or tablet!

Well, you see, the answer is simple: now you can!

One of the *NEW* offerings we have with our web-development packages is the ability to make a more toned-down version of your website available in the form of a “mobile site.” A mobile site works very similarly to the way an “app” would (for example) but you do not have to download anything. It simply converts your site into a fully functional version of your website for viewing on smartphones.

We believe the mobile site to be a necessary addition to any Flash-based website, simply because the demand for smartphones is growing exponentially by the day, and we wouldn’t want you to miss out on such a large opportunity!

What else is going on?

We are now also offering Facebook “Mini-Pages”! These work as a smaller version of your website as well, but would allow anyone who searches for your company page on Facebook to find an interactive mini-version of your site, instead of trying to search around for a website listing. The last and final portion is by far the most important thing to know about navigating our website…how do you (the user) Get Kinected TO Kinected? There is a “Contact” tab at the top of the page that will allow you to submit email inquiries through our website directly to our main office, where we will respond within 24 hours no matter what time or day of the week it is.  Additionally we have our phone number clearly listed at the top of any page of our website, where you are able to call 7 days a week, between 9:00AM-5:00PM Central Standard time. Step 1 – Set an “Online” goal.
Where do you want to be exactly? What is the goal of online social marketing as it relates to your business? Make a list of every goal you would want your business to achieve as a result of promoting online, and be thorough.

Step 2 – Determine an online marketing budget.
Odds are you already have a budget set in place for what you spend (or would like to spend) on marketing per calendar year. Sit down and evaluate what you would like to spend online as an integral piece of your marketing budget, keeping in mind that most marketing budgets as a whole are approximately 5-8% of your annual revenue, and online marketing is usually between 15-30% of that marketing budget.

Step 3 – Do your research.
Are you familiar with which social platforms are available to you, and the benefits of each? If not, take a quick tour or even just read brief summaries of what each can do for you. I have found a good one provided by Mashable that breaks the platforms down into categories for which will be best for what. You can see that list by clicking here. Make a checklist of which ones intrigue you as a business owner and, more importantly, why they intrigue you. Remember: The quantity of the platforms you have your company involved with isn’t nearly as important as the quality.

Step 4 – Prioritize your list.
Take the list of social platforms you have and put them in order from most important to least important in terms of where you want to be online.

Step 5 – Determine your current online status.
What we mean by this is sit down and assess where you stand in your online social platform.  Use your checklist and evaluate what you already have (ie a domain name, a Facebook page, etc…) and see where there are pieces missing.

Step 6 – Time vs. Money
Depending on what your current online presence is, and where you want to take it, you will need to determine how much time and money would go into getting your business to where you have determined it needs to be (this was determined by you in Step 4). This includes weighing the pro’s and con’s of your three options to get where you need to be. Your best three options for getting you there are as follows: Option A: Learning to use the social platforms and managing them yourself on a real full-time basis, Option B: Hiring a new full-time employee as a Social Media Manager, or Option C: Contracting that work out to a full-time, established Social Media Management firm, for a fraction of the cost .
